I LOVE this video. It was made by a writer called Jackson Pearce, after getting her first book accepted. In her own words, it’s:
A video about how I used to imagine the whole writing-and-getting-published thing worked.
Oh, if only. I found myself dancing around with the song in my head for days after first watching it. Enjoy
Aaaargh! I just caved and watched it – AGAIN! It took a week for me to get the song out of my head the first time I saw it. I haven’t got the dance perfected yet so I might have to watch it a few more times … Do you believe in magic … in a young girl’s heart …
(OK, so maybe I LOVE the video too)
Sorry Jules! It is catchy isn’t it (and not always in a good way). I propose that when your book is in ‘all good bookstores’ we go and do this dance between the shelves. :)
Be careful what you wish for …
:-)
Great video. I laughed out loud. Just once, just once wouldn’t it be loverly????
Wish I’d done the dance in the aquarium bookstore on Sunday where I unexpectedly found 10 copies of Ebi’s Boat. I did take photos though…
Claire, what a find! That definitely deserved a dance. Nice to have your books pop up in unexpected (but welcome) places – I’m glad you took a photo – you should post it on KWD for us all to enjoy :)
Wait a minute! You mean that’s not how it happens?????
LOL! Hilarious!
The Thriller dance? Really? That seems unexpectedly hard for such an easily published book. ;-) I suppose we can at least hope it will happen this way once, right? Even though we all know it won’t…
Mady – let you be the first to experience such quick and easy success, and I will personally fly over and do the thriller dance with you!
